Academic and P2 Highlights for next week:
Positivity Project: Next week we will be learning about humility. We will learn how to stay modest and let your actions speak for themselves.
Math: Students will be beginning to learn about dividing of fractions. Students will model how to split apart a fraction into whole numbers. Students will begin to distinguish the difference between multiplication and division in a story problem.
Readers' Workshop: Students will be continuing to research books related to their inquiry topic. Students will be learning how to take notes from a resource.
Writers' Workshop: Students will be continuing to revise their WWII drafts by adding an exciting introduction and a wrap-up conclusion.
Science Ch-ch-changes is the name of our new unit! We will be learning about physical and chemical changes! Our first phenomenon will be based off watching water boil in two different types of pains. - This is postponed for another couple weeks until our newest science kits arrive!

- Holiday Party will be held on Thursday, December 20th as a breakfast. Mrs. Thebo and a few parents from the other classroom are planning the festivities! Please contact them if you'd like to join on in! More details with a signup genius will be coming next week.
- Continue to have your child read fiction at home! During this nonfiction unit students do NOT get enough time to read fiction in class as we are spending a majority of our time researching!
How to help out:
- Fifth graders can continue to bring in candy canes for our candy gram sales next week!
