Student Blog:
Hi this week in science we did mystery matter we had 5 mystery powders. We tested them with different liquids to find out what kind of powder it was. In writing we did flash drafts. And at the end of two week we got to peer revisions reading we are reading schooled and home of the brave as a class we have really getting to know our characters. And to add on to writing we are learning to have better stamina. And we got school pictures done on Wednesday,for the year book.

Academic and P2 Highlights for next week:
Positivity Project: Next week we will be learning about open=mindedness Students will learn how to keep an open mind when trying new things or understanding others.
Math: Unit 1- We will be reviewing Unit 1 concepts and assessing towards the end of the week. Students will be assessed on equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions and unlike numbers. Review materials should be coming up this week!
Readers' Workshop: Students will be beginning book clubs this week. Students have daily page goals they must meet in order to stay on pace with their group. Students will often work on one weekly assignment for book clubs per week.
Writers' Workshop: Students will be continuing to revise their narrative flash drafts by adding in a theme to their story, stretching out their problem, and beginning to type their draft.
Science: Students will be researching the material and properties of different pans to help answer the question, "Which type of material is best for our pans?"
