Academic and P2 Highlights for next week:
Positivity Project: Next week we will be learning about perspective. Students will be learning empathy and how to understand other people's point of view.
Math: Unit 2- Students will be continuing to add and subtract multi-digit decimal numbers. Students received their first Quick Quiz of Unit 2 back on Thursday or Friday. Many students still need some extra practice on naming fractions which is sections 2-1 to 2-3. Check out the extra practice in your child's math workbook!
Readers' Workshop: Students have finished their book club reading.. We will be finishing the unit by reading a common text and watching a video. Students will who their ability to compare and contrast themes and analyze the author's craft techniques.
Writers' Workshop: Students will be working on a Halloween perspective writing before begin research for their informational writing. Students will be picking a topic in relation to World War II.
Social Studies: We will begin reading Chapter 2 Native Americans and their Land. Students will be practicing note taking skills after reading each section.

- Visit the Math Websites page to find games for students to review fractions online! The students new favorite is Prodigy!
- While doing math homework involving decimals, students have a laminated place value chart. This really helps them stay organized and strengthen their understanding of place value!
