Academic and P2 Highlights for next week:
Positivity Project: Next week we have a wildcard week! Students will get to choose which trait they want to focus in on for the next couple weeks. The last full week of February we will be studying enthusiasm. This is the ability to have zest and enjoyment for life!
Math: Unit 5: Division of Whole Numbers and Decimals. We will end this unit by working on story problems that involve multiplication and/or division. Students will be assessed on Monday, February 24th.
Readers' Workshop: Students will be finish up their historical fiction book club unit by comparing themes of the texts they have read. Our next unit we will switch back to nonfiction and learn about argumentative articles.
Writers' Workshop: Students will be finalizing their literary essay by self and peer editing before sharing their pieces!
Social Studies: Chapter 6: First Settlements: Students will be learning about three of the first settlements in the New England areas and which settlements became successful.

- Week 3 of Life Skills covered vaping and smoking- the letter will be sent in next week's blog.
- Students were sent home a permission slip this week for the Native American Presentation. This permission slip is due back 3/1.
- Students had a better sub report last week and are able to once again keep water bottles at their desk. If a student is choosing to play or gets distracted by their water bottle they may be asked to keep their water bottle in their locker. Thank you again for your support!

- We could use some HEALTHY SNACK donations! We are looking for individually packaged, peanut free snacks that can be stored in the classroom for when a child needs/ forgets to bring their own! Thank you in advance!
