WHAT PARENTS NEED TO KNOW FOR THE UPCOMING WEEK:
Academic and P2 Highlights for next week:
Positivity Project: This week students will get to pick our P2 trait to study! Check out Class Dojo to see what the kids come up with!
Math: Chapter 8: Metric System, US Customary, Volume, and Geometry. Students will be learning about quadrilaterals and their defining traits. COMMON ASSESSMENT WILL BE ON MONDAY, JUNE 10!
Readers' Workshop: We are now finishing book 3 of our book clubs! We will be learning about symbolism and figurative language. Students will also be reading a short fantasy story to show off all their learned this unit!
Writers' Workshop: Students will finalize their memoirs by typing and editing. Students are ending the year with a fun writing called "Dinner Party." Students get to write a story about 4 famous people that come together for dinner!
Social Studies: Chapter 10: Students will learn about the tension growing between the British King and the new England colonies.

- Tuesday, June 4th is our trip to Greenfield Village. Check out the letter regarding more info HERE.
- Field Day is Wednesday, June 5th. Fifth grade will participate in the AM!
- Please note the ceremony date is Thursday, June 13th. This is the date that parents choose to attend if they are only able to pick one of the end of year events.
- Lots of assessments happening the next couple weeks. Please remind students at home that the year is NOT YET over! We want them to end strong!
